ADULTS
Our adult membership has been running since April 2005 and consists of professional adults aged between 18 and 60.
Our adult season runs across 3 years and includes:
One adult panto each December followed by one of the following every summer:
Year 1 - An adult cabaret show
Year 2 - An 'off the shelf' musical
Year 3 - a break 8)
Although we began as a group for staff, family, and friends of Greater Manchester Police employees and for several years, we performed exclusively for GMP staff at the Hough End Centre in Chorlton.
Under the leadership of our Squadron Leader, Sean Kennedy, the group later expanded beyond GMP and began performing publicly across Greater Manchester.
Over the years, Stage Squad has appeared at a wide range of venues, events and charity performances across the region, although our regular theatrical homes have predominantly been in South Manchester.
We now have our own dedicated venue, The Squad House, at Pear Mill in Stockport where we have already staged over twenty productions. Our Youth group has also operated from here since April 2017 and now boasts over 50 kids!
In 2025 we celebrated our 20th year!
And we celebrated by putting together a montage of our
best and favourite bits from over the years.
Unfortunately Sean ended up in hospital the week before,
so we had little choice but to reschedule.
So our 20th anniversary cabaret was held in March 2026
giving us an extra summer off this year to plan the next
3 years and world domination beyond that!
We will be back in September for panto rehearsals and this year it's the turn of Sleeping Beauty, or our adult version;
Sleeping Rough.
In 2027 we will be producing an off the shelf musical - TBC but we're currently considering 'Bad Girls' & 'Ave Q'.
