Stage Squad
About The Stage Squad:
Stage Squad was founded on 1 February 2005 as a social performance group for staff, family, and friends of Greater Manchester Police employees.
For several years, we performed exclusively for GMP staff at the Hough End Centre (Sports & Social Club) in Chorlton. Under the leadership of our Squadron Leader, Sean Kennedy, the group later expanded beyond GMP and began performing publicly across Greater Manchester.
Where We Performed
Over the years, Stage Squad has appeared at a wide range of events and charity performances across the region. Our regular theatrical homes included:
-
Altrincham Little Theatre – annual pantomimes
-
Hough End Centre – cabaret shows
We now have our own dedicated venue, The Squad House, where we have already staged over twenty productions.
Our Members
Stage Squad is made up of adult performers aged 21–60, many of whom are highly experienced. While talent is essential, we value a sense of humour even more — drama queens need not apply.
Our Season & Performances
Each year, our season includes:
-
1 adult pantomime
-
1 adult cabaret or musical comedy production
We also take part in several high-profile events annually, including:
-
Manchester Day Parade
-
Stockport Foodie Fridays
